September Superdates: Intention, Release & Right Relationship
September 2026 carries an interesting combination of completion and emerging new direction.
Numerologically, September expresses through 9/9 — The Completer, encouraging us to recognise what has fulfilled its purpose, integrate what our experiences have taught us and bring unfinished matters towards conclusion. But 9 also carries considerable drive and active energy. This is not necessarily a passive process of waiting for things to fall away; there can be real momentum available for making changes and clearing space for what comes next.
The month's 91/1 Dharma — The Reborn Leader takes that process a stage further. Something new can begin to emerge precisely because something else has been completed, understood or outgrown.
Against that wider background, two periods stand out particularly strongly during September: the Virgo New Moon intention period from 11–14 September, and the Aries Full Moon release period from 23–26 September.
Both offer more than a single significant date. Each develops as a process over several days.
11–14 September: From Listening to Action
The New Moon at 18°25' Virgo on 11th begins September's principal intention-setting period.
Virgo invites us to recognise patterns and understand what they are showing us. As a Mercury-ruled sign, there is intelligence here — observing, connecting information and recognising what might previously have appeared unrelated — but Virgo also reminds us that intelligence does not exist solely in the mind. There is a strong mind-body connection, and what we feel physically can sometimes provide information that conscious thought has not yet fully articulated.
Rather than immediately deciding what you want to manifest, use the New Moon itself to tune in.
What patterns have been repeating? What is your mind continually returning to? What is your body communicating? Where does life seem to be asking for change, greater alignment or a different way of working?
12 September — Explore
The following day takes whatever surfaced under the New Moon into deeper territory.
Mercury forms both a trine to Pluto and an opposition to Neptune, combining penetrating insight and imagination with less certain perception. Something important may be sensed or uncovered without the whole picture yet being available.
Follow what interests you. Journal, research, reflect, meditate, talk something through or simply give an emerging idea more room to develop.
Don't force the answer. Go beneath the first answer.
13 September — Create the Intention
The 13th is the first of two consecutive Numerological Superdates, and becomes the key point for formulating the intention.
Its primary numerology is 13/4 — The Reformer, making this particularly useful territory for meaningful change and restructuring. Rather than simply describing an outcome you would like to receive, ask what actually needs to change for that outcome to become possible.
Take what you noticed on the 11th and explored on the 12th and give it form.
What are you choosing to change? What needs to be restructured? What new pathway could that change create?
14 September — Give It Movement
The 14th brings another Superdate, but its character changes.
14/5 — The Conduit, favours movement that is consciously directed, while the deeper numerology of the day brings attraction, connection and greater circulation into the picture.
The astrology reinforces this beautifully. Mercury trine Uranus can help us think differently, communicate an idea or discover an unexpected route forward, while Sun sextile Mars supports purposeful action.
So do something.
Communicate the intention. Make the call. Send the message. Change something in your environment. Take the first practical step. Or work through the body — movement, exercise, breathwork or another physical practice can help move an intention beyond thought and into embodied experience.
The four-day process is therefore:
Tune in → Explore → Create the intention → Give it movement
23–26 September: What Is Right Relationship?
September's second major period begins on another Superdate.
The 23rd expresses through 23/5 — The Favoured, one of the more opportunity-oriented expressions within my numerology system. Its deeper numerical pattern strongly emphasises connection, attraction and the role other people can play in creating movement and opportunity.
On the same day, the Sun enters Libra.
This makes relationship, reciprocity and exchange particularly significant. Pay attention to conversations, introductions, collaborations and interactions with others. Something may begin moving because you are willing to engage rather than trying to create everything alone.
But there is another reason the timing is interesting.
The 23rd also begins the build towards the Aries Full Moon on 26 September, placing the polarity between self and other, independence and relationship, autonomy and reciprocity increasingly into focus.
The first clues may therefore arrive through other people.
Perhaps you have compromised too much of yourself in order to maintain connection. But equally, perhaps independence, self-reliance or doing everything alone has itself become limiting.
Ask:
What might need to change in the way I relate — to myself and to others — so that I have room to meet what is opening?
24–25 September — Stay With the Question
There is no need to answer immediately.
Notice what your interactions show you over the following two days. Where is there genuine reciprocity and circulation? Where are you compromising too much? Where might independence, self-protection or self-reliance be making it difficult for something valuable to reach you?
Neither independence nor relationship is inherently preferable.
The question is:
Where has balance between them become distorted?
26 September — Full Moon in Aries
The Full Moon at 3°36' Aries brings the process to culmination.
With the Moon in Aries opposing the newly arrived Sun in Libra, the relationship between self and other comes sharply into focus. Aries protects individual identity, autonomy and the right to follow our own direction; Libra teaches us about reciprocity, cooperation and what becomes possible when we genuinely meet another.
The Full Moon may expose an imbalance in either direction.
Perhaps you have suppressed your own needs or maintained harmony at too great a personal cost. But perhaps independence has become over-independence; self-reliance has left too little room for support; or protecting your autonomy has made genuine partnership, collaboration or exchange more difficult.
The question is one of right relationship:
How do I remain fully myself while also allowing meaningful relationship with others?
What does healthy autonomy look like when it no longer requires separation? And what does healthy connection look like when it no longer requires self-suppression? (I discussed this subject in a previous article.)
The surrounding astrology adds another layer. Sun opposite Neptune can dissolve assumptions, while Sun trine Pluto supports deeper transformation and release. What falls away may therefore be an old perception, identity or relational pattern rather than an external situation.
This Full Moon does not necessarily require dramatic action. Its strength may lie in recognising where an established pattern has completed its purpose and becoming willing to stop carrying it forward.
Working With September
These are just two of the significant periods contained within my full September Superdates Report, which brings astrology and Chaldean numerology together to explore how the different dates of the month can best be used.
The complete report includes September's Superdates and Good Dates, the month's wider numerological and astrological themes, key planetary transitions, and practical guidance for areas including business, launches, networking, money and opportunity, relationships, creativity, intention-setting, change and release.
September's wider message is one of completion with purpose - recognising what our experiences have taught us, bringing what has run its course towards conclusion and creating enough space for a different direction to emerge.
The Completer clears the ground. The Reborn Leader begins to rise.
